Amphora Catering Menu

Amphora Catering Menu

Project Type

  • Business to consumer product catalog

Project Specs

  • 20 pages
  • 4-color
  • printed on metallic paper

How do you demonstrate the beauty and quality of your catered events without showing pictures of the actual food? That was the challenge we faced with the Amphora Catering menu. The client didn’t want to use images of the food, gorgeous as they were, because they provide custom events and didn’t want people to think they were locked in to anything they saw. Our solution was to evoke the mood of an event through photography. This brochure was featured in the Art Director’s Club of Metro Washington, DC’s annual show in the menu category.

GW University Graduate School Recruitment Brochure

Project Type:

  • Student recruitment brochure and pocket folder

Project Specs:

  • 4-color
  • 14 pages
  • 9×12 pocket folder carrier (not pictured)
  • slit on pocket for CD
  • Template for customizable inserts

The School of Media and Public Affairs at The George Washington University found they needed to change the way they reached out to prospective students in order to attract the best and brightest in the field. The school has a stellar faculty, cutting edge curriculum, and access to the best tools in the industry. What they needed was a school catalog that reflected this. Because polling is a big part of what many students will be doing in their post-school careers, we designed the brochure to be like an opinion pull. The brochure is fun to read while also providing necessary information and a good feel for what attending the program will be like. The brochure attached here was stitched to a larger, black pocket folder. In addition, we designed a Word template for custom inserts that would go in the pocket folder, allowing staff to include specific information relative to a prospective students need. We also design a CD label for the terrific overview video the school had released earlier that year.

NAEA Globalization Book

Project Type:

  • Academic book

Project Specs:

  • 334 pages
  • 4-c cover, b/w interior

The National Association for Education in the Arts publishes several academic books each year. “Globalization, Art, and Education” is a 334-page book divided into four sections. Most of the 40 chapters included images of art, so it was imperative to design a book that could accommodate reasonably large photos without creating a book so large that it would be cost-prohibitive to print.

Eco-Resorts Safari Brochure

Services brochureProject Type:

  • Services brochure

Project Specs:

  • 4-color, with vellum cover
  • wiro-bound

For many people, going on safari in Africa is a life-long dream. As such, they spend a lot of time researching their trip to make sure they go with the right tour guide. Eco-Resorts provides custom-designed safari adventures. They wanted an compelling brochure that would give prospective clients a feel for the kind of customized treatment they’d get while planning their dream vacation. The resulting brochure outlines the general services, but also tells the story of “Sid” who is planning her dream trip. E-mail exchanges between Sid and Eco-Resorts were based on real customer e-mails and provide a perfect flavor of what it’s like. Once client said she kept the brochure by her bed and read it every night before bed.

Two Sisters won MarComm Creative Awards for writing and design of this brochure.
